Stylistic trends are always circling the wedding industry with the extravagance of the occasion, and brides looking to make an entrance or a mark on the grand day have begun opting for showstopping additions and features, such as the second (or third, or fourth) wedding dress of the exciting event.

Gather reigned in their annual Spring Drag Show on Saturday, April 12, 2025, with a disco fever! Returning Queens, and a few new stars added into the rotation, took the stage to celebrate the arrival of the warmer season with some amazing throwbacks and crowd pleasers from the showstopping and sparkling 70s & 80s.

The wedding weekend, in our modernized culture, begins with the wedding party (immediate family, bridesmaids, and groomsmen) arriving to the occasion before the rest of the invitees to go over the wedding setup and rehearsal elements. While planning an entire weekend away for the wedding party members is not necessarily a new concept to the extravagancies of the ordeal, the concept has progressed further into the grandiosities to now include the majority of the wedding attendees, many activities, and bonding experiences over the course of a weekend.

This holiday is always sure to usher in all of the love, appreciation, and respect we have for our dedicated moms and/or maternal figures, while reminding us that it’s not about the money you spend, but the time spent with one another.

Capturing the special day has long been a tradition for newlywedded couples in the form of photographs such as filling scrapbooks from the special day, some have a few special photos framed, and today, many are used for profile pictures and varying social media posts; however, once the evolution of videography began it’s rapid ascent into the social media scene, the wedding scene was changed forever.

There have been many wedding traditions to come and go throughout history, including the meaning of the marital act as a whole and the symbolization of the celebration, but the collection we’ve compiled for this piece have, so far, stood the test of time, and are what we at Gather have deemed the “timeless classics” of a wedding – withstanding the less than savory past and evolving to anticipate the sweetest future.

Heart eyes are in the air and atmosphere year-round at a venue like Gather, since we’re always organizing couples’ special day, so for Valentine’s 2025, we focused on strengthening and emphasizing those female friendships!

Many of the trends that rotate event and wedding planning today are based around long-standing traditions slightly altered and combined by varying cultures, through many years of celebrations thrown since the dawn of time.

Victoria Lynn has been bringing her glamor to Gather on Broadway’s stage with the rest of the Glitz and Gather Queens for the last three years in Green Bay, Wisconsin, with a history of six years in nationwide Drag overall.

Gather has been trusting Petal Pusher to create beautiful bouquets and floral arrangements for more than five years, suggesting them to most bookers for their decor. Petal Pusher opened its doors and services to the wedding scene in 1992, so they can always be trusted to produce amazing quality displays in a timely and professional manner. Current owner, Nichole Campbell, gifted Gather’s Stories writer, Kira Doman, with her time in June to discuss what owning and working for Petal Pusher has been like through her own eyes, and what guests can expect when booking the flowers for their event or wedding.

While summer in Wisconsin has become quite a renowned and beloved vacation spot for many Midwesterners, (with numerous quaint, historic, and adorable towns, beautiful outdoor features and hiking trails, and a selection of cities that have garnered a music and arts scene, it is hard for it not to be) fall in the dairy state has always been where the locals find most of their excitement. 

Armchair Boogie’s Augie Dougherty, Ben Majeska, Eli Frieders, and Denzel Connor returned to Gather on Broadway for their first ticketed show on Gather’s stage, and Ben Majeska, Armchair Boogie’s acoustic and electric guitarist, was excited to speak on their memorable time touring after their recent album release.

Country star, Kimberly Perry, returned to Green Bay for a moment as part of CMT’s Next Women of Country tour and lit up Gather’s stage with her warmth and passion for music for her first solo tour.

Farm fresh and funky flavors were placed on the Taste table in July 2024, as Chef Jyll Everman served a collection of eclectic plates with Wisconsin-sourced ingredients to make any foodie excited to return for the next Taste event and book their next trip abroad.

The sun is shining, the grass is green, and June, once known as one of the most popular months for weddings, is here to welcome a busy summer schedule for Gather, filled with love and memorable evenings. 

Habitat for Humanity partnered with Gather three years ago to organize a high-class and elegant fundraiser for the Green Bay community and members of the organization, and have now been hosting this event at Gather for the last three years, finding new ways of immersing guests into the magic of the annual event.

Another raving Drag show has found its way onto Gather’s calendar, but this time it’s a bit different from the shows Gather is used to hosting!

Spring has sprung, but instead of turning the clocks ahead, Chef Jyll has turned the clocks back! The Spring Taste event always keeps even esteemed and experienced chef of over a decade, Jyll Everman on her toes over how she can shock and awe individuals not only with her menu but with her venue as well.

While Gather has become known for hosting downright breathtaking weddings, there is also no shortage of private parties hosted by companies and organizations within Gather, angel investing group, Tundra Angels, being a frequent repeater.
