Breakfast with Santa | Holiday event

The joy of Christmas, and some tears, too, made for a memorable Breakfast with Santa at Gather on Broadway. For a third year in a row, Santa came to Green Bay for our version of a North Pole experience. We turned the Gather space into Santa’s workshop, and we invited families to a delicious breakfast buffet created by Food Network Star and Gather Executive Chef Jyll Everman.

With all the hype surrounding the holidays, we like to make Breakfast with Santa a low-key event instead. Breakfast with Santa is simply a time to relax, spend time with the kids, and celebrate the Christmas season. Parents enjoyed a cup of coffee, Bloody Mary or apple cider mimosa, breakfast and family time. There were no long lines leading to Santa’s lap, and no hurry to get a perfect photo. Santa took the time to share a special moment with each and every family.

Everyone gathered around the fireplace to hear Santa read “The Night Before Christmas.” What could be a better way to get into the Christmas spirit? Afterwards, Santa’s lap was rarely empty. One after another, kids shared their Christmas lists and their Christmas wishes with Santa by the fireplace mantel. Swee

t photos of smiling (and sometimes crying!) kids captured the moment. Each family left with a photograph to remember their visit. Some families even made these photos into their Christmas cards. The kids were busy making holiday crafts, decorating cookies, and mixing up their favorite cup of hot cocoa at the custom hot chocolate station.

The breakfast buffet by Chef Jyll pleased kids and adults alike. Scrambled eggs for the kids, and more adventuresome Denver scramble for the adults, French toast, bacon, and sausage. Jyll’s mom, Nancy, created festive cupcakes, and Jyll made tasty Danishes to top off the breakfast.

Everyone went home with a package of Snowman Soup, a delicious concoction of hot chocolate, Hershey’s kisses, and a candy cane. Christmas with Santa was so popular this year, we added a second date and both dates sold out quickly. We are so honored that families came to Gather on Broadway to experience Breakfast with Santa and create Christmas memories that will last. We can’t wait to invite you back next year!
