A Very Un-Merry Mother’s Day Brunch

Each CELEBRATE experience at Gather on Broadway is a labor of love for our team, but Mother’s Day 2017 was especially special.  Our mothers (and fathers!) have been instrumental in making the dream of Gather on Broadway a reality.  From pitching in with construction to cleaning windows to being our biggest cheerleaders and attending every experience, we would not be where we are without the love, dedication, support and sweat of our parents.

To honor them and all the mothers attending Mother’s Day 2017, we carefully designed every detail of the experience to craft a magical day of merriment and celebration.  We invited our guests to join us down the rabbit hole as we transformed Gather on Broadway into the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party from Alice in Wonderland.

Guests were greeted at the door with a key to wonderland that unlocked the secret of their seating at the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.  Moms were treated to a complementary “Mom-osa,” while other guests enjoyed our mixologist Rane’s signature Loaded Bloody Mary – complete with homemade peppered bacon.  Kids and adults enjoyed flamingo croquet and dancing to Disney-themed music.

As the curtains unveiled a garden wonderland, guests were greeted with a whimsical brunch buffet designed by Gather’s Executive Chef Jyll Everman including vanilla bean french toast, maple glazed ham, peel & eat shrimp, assorted tea sandwiches, mini pastries and so much more.  Like the Chesire Cat, Chef Jyll holds her cooking secrets close including the fact that her famous vanilla bean french toast is soaked in (wait for it) … vanilla ice cream!!

While guests partook in the delicious buffet, the kids also enjoyed a Painted Flower craft where they could create tissue paper roses for their moms.  Everyone also enjoyed our Photo Corner courtesy of Kailey Nellis Photography [kailey.nellis@gmail.com | 920.217.9160].  Each mom received a keepsake frame to display a photo from the experience.  Our staff even got in on the fun, dressing up as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, the White Rabbit and even the Mad Hatter himself!

We hope that each mom had a very special day and felt loved, cherished and celebrated.  It gives us great joy to bring the community together to celebrate the big and little moments in life and feel honored that our guests chose to share their Mother’s Day with us.  We look forward to going down the rabbit hole with you all again soon!
